  • High School senior named National Rising Star by the National Art Education Association!
    We're thrilled to announce that Ruby, a senior at Pleasant Grove High School, has been named a National Rising Star by the National Art Education Association!  This prestigious award recognizes Ruby's exceptional talent and dedication to the arts. Out of students from all across the country, she stood out with her remarkable art portfolio, academic excellence, essay, and glowing recommendation letters. Ruby's creativity and innovation shine brightly through her artwork, and we couldn't be prouder!

    In addition to bring home the first place trophy the group also brought home the following awards:

  • PG Robotics take all spots in the final four face off at Robotics tournament!
    On Saturday, January 20th, Pleasant Grove robotics hosted the 3rd annual robotics tournament. There were a total of 44 teams that competed on campus. 7 teams from PG were entered, and all teams made it into the final 16 alliances. It was an all PG finals match again, and the program qualified one more team for State. The robotics program now has 5 teams qualified for the state tournament in February. Way to go!   • The 2023 Hawk yearbook was named a National Scholastic Press Association Pacemaker Finalist!!
    The book is one of the 57 middle school and high school 2023 yearbooks that will be honored at the 2024 Spring National HS Journalism Convention in Kansas City in April. This is the fifth straight year the yearbook has been a Pacemaker Finalist.

    Congratulations! 
    Congratulations to Pleasant Grove Intermediate School students for their achievements in the Design Downtown Regional Art Contest sponsored by the City of Texarkana Texas! These students placed 1st 3rd in the 1st-5th age division for their renderings of the Arts and Historic District of Texarkana. Great job!

    Aaron placed 2nd out of over 60 other musicians and will participate in the TMEA Convention next February in San Antonio.

    PGISD is proud to honor KYLE KROBOT from Pleasant Grove High School in recognition of his commitment and service to our students and our athletic community. Pleasant Grove ISD, along with the THSCA and the College Football Playoff Foundation, believe that our Texas educators are our most valuable asset.     Twelve of our Hawk HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) members attended the Area 3 Leadership Conference
    Twelve of our Hawk HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America) members attended the Area 3 Leadership Conference in Palestine, TX. This was a gathering of HOSA Chapters from all over Northeast Texas. This was the first leadership conference for these students, but they showed so much enthusiasm, school spirit and engagement throughout the day that they won the Spirit Award for Pleasant Grove High School.
