Pleasant Grove ISD COVID-19 Updates & Information
UPDATE February 12, 2021
Pleasant Grove ISD has consistently taken the safest approach in mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on our campuses. At this time, we believe that we can safely transition to the 10 day quarantine model that has been approved by the CDC and TEA and backed by our local health authorities. Effective February 13th, any student that is considered a close contact will quarantine for 10 days instead of the 14 days that was previously required. We feel that this will help ease the burden on working parents while still maintaining a safe environment for our staff and students.
- If a student tests positive for COVID-19, there is no change to current guidelines. Students and staff must isolate for 10 days from the start of symptoms.
- If a student is in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, they must quarantine for 10 days from the point of last contact.
- If a staff member or student tests positive or is in close contact with someone who is diagnosed with COVID-19 over winter break, please contact the campus nurse on Monday, February 22nd for a return date. We will follow the 10 day timeline for a return date.
- Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions. Have a safe and restful Winter Break.
The District will continue to monitor the current health situation and make decisions based on recommendations from health officials and the Texas Governor. We will use this page to provide updates and resources to our parents and students throughout the 2020-2021 school year.
