Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I have a strong passion for Career and Technical Education, and am currently CTE Department Chair, and CTE Director for PGISD. I teach business, finance and technology application education at the high school level where I help prepare young men and women for their post-secondary endeavors. During this 2019-2020 school year at PGHS I will be teaching a variety of exciting courses including; Accounting 1 Honors, Accounting 2 Honors/Dual Credit, Graphic Design & Illustration 1 Honors, Graphic Design & Illustration 2 Honors, Animation 1, Animation 2 Honors and Practicum in Animation Honors.
In 2014, my husband, Coach Josh Gibson accepted the position as the Head Football Coach & Athletic Director for Pleasant Grove, moving us to Texarkana from Frisco Texas. My tenure with Frisco ISD consisted of teaching a variety of courses within the Business and Finance pathways for the CTE Department. Prior to teaching, I was part of the corporate world; employed by Robert Half International in Dallas as a Sales agent where I was responsible for placing IT professionals into contract positions throughout North Dallas. Before getting in to sales, I worked for what is now Bank of America's Corporate Headquarters in Plano, TX as a Tier 3 IT Analyst; supporting upper level management for all areas of the organization. I am proud to say that my corporate experience has been beneficial in the classroom as I am able to share stories, and real world examples as to what can be expected after graduation from high school and/or college. My husband and I have a daughter, Jordan, who is in her final year of college this year, and a son, Jackson who attends PGMS.
Thanks again for taking the time to look through my website. I am here for the students, and look forward to helping make their high school experience a great one. We are all looking forward to a great year here in Hawk Nation.
